FR; Collapsing Market, Meandyou
Eszaid

Paris-based producer and DJ Louis Vial creates wild, bass-heavy music under his moniker Eszaid. Besides his own productions, which all are informed by dub music, he also publishes music from internationally acknowledged artists on his label Collapsing Market.

CH; Präsens Editionen
Magda Drozd

Zurich-based artist Magda Drozd is interested in a non-rational perception of the world and speculative narratives, which she expresses in the form of sound and performance. In December 2019, she released her first LP Songs for Plants featuring eleven tracks ranging from ambient, experimental electronics, and off-pop to dub techno on Präsens Editionen.

CH/DE; Das Andere Selbst
Delmore FX

Ticino-born, Berlin-based Elia Buletti applies free improvisation in his solo project Delmore FX to maneuver through his cubist sounds. Passing by eerie inlets and wild vortices every once in a while, the artist constantly reworks his stream of sounds and recordings, which lead to unforseen rearrangements.

Tomoko Sauvage

The Wire Magazine compared Tomoko Sauvage’s music with a long, hot bath. That pretty much nails it, as the sound of the Japan-born artist, who moved to Paris after studying jazz in New York, is an interplay between water, ceramics, and underwater-microphones. The result is a natural form of synthesizer music, that reassesses the relationship between human beings and their surroundings.

CH
JMO / Julie Semoroz

Transformation, metaphysical poetry, and the invisible are topics Julie Semoroz aka JMO addresses in her work. The singer and sound artist explores ethereal and intimate worlds that are on the brink of falling apart. She operates through repetition and exhaustion of sound matter and research on improvisation. In this way, she evades categorization, hopping from pop to experimental music, from audio performances to live concerts.

FR; Editions Gravats
Low Jack b2b King Doudou

While King Doudou has been grappling with dancehall, reaggaeton, and baile funk for a while now, Low Jack found his way to these genres after investigating industrial-informed techno and house. No matter the time spent with dembow, both have proven that they are able to twist and turn this beat, keeping it fresh—and dance floors moving.

CH; Präsens Editionen, Haunter Records, aufnahme + wiedergabe, Hallow Ground, Lux Rec
S S S S

Swiss musician Samuel Savenberg has been able to reflect both his personal development and the trends shaping experimental club culture with his S S S S moniker. Over the course of a few years, the post-industrial techno project has become an equally fluid as it is precise exploration of sound aesthetics in various fields.

CH; Luff, Megamood
Stastava

StaStava is a committed DJ, playing with different styles, rhythms, and moods. As much in her sets as in the organization of the Megamood parties, StaStava manages to create a place that encourages diversity and creativity. Her sounds, that comfortably sit between post club, grime, industrial, psytrance, acid rave, and ghettotech, often are able to transcend the audience towards a feeling of collective euphoria.

CH/FR; Lyl Radio, dublab.de
Laura Not

Laura Not is an artist, sound-collagist, and web radio host. She curates an eclectic selection of guests for her monthly shows Sounds Unsaid on dublab.de while hosting a monthly show on French radio Lyl called (x)=musik. Through her idiosyncratic sets, Laura Not likes to seek the hidden connections between her hybrid sounds.

Félicia Atkinson

Félica Atkinson takes everyday life as the quarry for her art and uses lyrical abstraction to transform the seemingly mundane into something revelatory, be it sound art, installations, text publications, or paintings. Her approach, however, becomes most apparent in music. There, she fuses ambient's smeared aesthetic with the focus of ASMR recordings to create pieces that represent as much a surface and a vibe, as a depth and the feeling of an intimate conversation.

FR/JP; Pan, Room40, Editions Mego
Tujiko Noriko

Tujiko Noriko and Joji Koyama’s movie Kuro can be described as hypnotic and meditative. And that’s also how the movie’s soundtrack composed by Paris-based Tujiko and published in early 2019 by Pan comes along. Those ambient sounds are eerily beautiful.

CH; Präsens Editionen, Hallow Ground
S S S S

Samuel Savenberg aka S S S S will replace Manuel Troller, who has to cancel his gig unfortunately. Following his grime-heavy DJ set at Petit Bain the day before, S S S S will present an electro acoustic live set.

CH; three:four records

Manuel Troller (cancelled)

On his solo debut Vanishing Points, Manuel Troller travels with his guitar and his Warp-sounds through wormholes. As spectacular this may sound, the Basel-based artist, whose band Schnellertollermeier celebrates the open access on music history, is not straining after effect. Rather, his pieces are made for the long run and to keep on making a new impression.
